Buddhist Vows
- In the Buddha I take Refuge;
- In the Dharma I take Refuge;
- In the Sangha I take Refuge.
- Buddhist Vows I
- Living beings are limitless, I vow to save them.
- Defilements are inexhaustible, I vow to cut through them.
- Dharma teachings are immeasurable, I vow to learn them
- The Buddha's path is unsurpassable, I vow to realize it
- And become the Buddha.
- ...
- All living beings have Buddha Nature, I vow to save them.
- All defilements are delusions, I vow to cut through them.
- The Dharma teachings are the Truth of things as they are,
- I vow to learn them entirely.
- The Buddha's path is inseparable from my own Buddha Nature, I vow to
- Realize it and become the Buddha.
- The Four Immeasurables
- May all beings have happiness and the causes of happiness.
- May all beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.
- May all beings never be without true happiness free from suffering.
- May all beings abide in great impartiality, free from clinging to loved ones and
aversion for others.
